Tranquil Gardens - Why Handcrafted Soap?

Unlike commercial brands, my handcrafted soaps contain all natural ingredients. Color and fragrance are FDA approved and supplied by a reputable and licensed source. They are safe, mild and beneficial for your skin. During saponification, a by-product called glycerin is formed. The glycerin is so valuable as a skin care product. The commercial soap makers skim the glycerin from their soap and market it as a by-product. Handcrafted soap still contains this glycerin for the benefit of your skin. Read the ingredient label of the soap you are using at present. Do you know what all the chemical and preservative names are? As with many modern products today, ingredients that we cannot identify are being added. Another example, in a commercially made bar of Avocado Soap, how much avocado oil is actually present? I don’t know. So when I make a bar of soap containing the luxury items such as jojoba, avocado oil, shea butter, almond oil or cocoa butter, they are mathematically calculated into the recipe, so that the correct amount is added. These wonderful extras then can work in harmony with the other oils so that a quality bar can be provided. My handcrafted soaps are made from pure, high quality ingredients. I use all natural vegetable oils and incorporate them into small batches. This way, I can control all the steps during the process and provide you with a quality bar of soap. Some batches contain herbs that are grown in my yard without the use of herbicides, whole grains such as oatmeal, cornmeal and quality grade fragrance and essential oils that are FDA approved and made specifically for soapmaking. Colorants that are used are either natural or FDA approved. Some soaps may have infusions in them which mean that herbs are soaked in oils and left to sit for a few weeks. These oils are then strained and used in my soaps benefiting from the qualities of the herbs.Fresh, creamy goat milk is the icing on the cake for my soaps. It is kind and gentle to your skin and produces a lovely, rich creamy bar of soap. Goats milk is also less drying to your skin. The bars you receive are cured and ready to use.
